                                    (1798 – 1849)

Joseph Charotte-Millot was a pupil of Aldric. His work was very characterful, resembling a vaguely Guarnerian model with open 'c' bouts and small outwardly pointing corners. The lower holes of the T were strongly oval in a lateral direction. He used a shaded red varnish on a yellow ground. It was branded `Charotte à Paris' and included a printed label: Charotte-Millot / élève d'Aldric de Paris / fabricant d'instruments à Mirecourt (Vosges).
