Ignaz Penzl was presumably connected to the Penzel family. He engaged in commercial work on an Amati/Stainer-derived model. Instruments were often labeled from Cremona, featuring every variation of spelling and intentionally misleading dates. Some were branded on the back button with 'I. P. ' He worked in Italia and Cremona in 1757, and other labels included Nacio Pence / Italia et Cremona, Ignation Penze P. ltalia / la Cremona. Ao 1713, and Janacio Penze P Italia / ao. 1701.
