Born in Paris in 1875, while his father Joseph Alfred Lamy père was still working under François-Nicolas Voirin, Hippolyte Camille Lamy grew up to take the bow-making trade further as the elder of père's two sons; nothing in the sources consulted here pins down what his own individual work actually looked like. He died in 1942.
