Antoine Saint-Paul
(c. 1768 – 1790)
Antoine Saint-Paul was the grandson of Pierre Saint-Paul and the son-in-law and successor to Guersan at the sign `A la Lyre d'Apollon' on the rue des Fossés. He was regarded more as a dealer and shopkeeper than as a maker himself. His violins were crafted in the manner of Bocquay, featuring a small model and rather poor quality with an unattractive pale yellow varnish.
