Emidio Celani
Violin maker
(1866 – 1898)
Emilio Celani was the brother of Constantino Celani. He was known as 'The Turk' and was a prolific maker of violins modeled after Andrea Guarneri, using a transparent yellow varnish similar to that of his brother. He also produced over 200 guitars and mandolins. He worked in Ascoli Piceno in 1881 and again in 1896.
