Guillaume Charles Louis Gand was the second son of Charles Michel Gand and learned the craft from his father before taking over his father's shop in Versailles. His work was rare and reflected the style of his father. He was also the brother of Charles François dit "Gand Père" and had further training at Nicolas Lupot's.
