Walter S. Ropes
(c. 1895 – 1921)
Walter S. Ropes was a pupil and assistant of J. B. Squier. He moved to Boston around 1922. He received awards at Buffalo in 1901 and at Jamestown in 1907. His instruments featured a Guarneri model with shaded varnish. A total of 73 instruments were recorded.
