Georges Louis Dupuy
(1904 – 1968)
Georges Louis Dupuy was a pupil of Vatelot and Brugere. In 1939, he established a workshop with his father at 4 rue Demours. After his father's death in 1941, he relocated to rue de Rome. He was appointed secretary of the 'Chambre Syndicale des facteurs d'instruments de musique de France' and served as luthier for the Orchestre de l'Opera in Paris. His work featured a Cremonese model with red-brown varnish and was well-finished for professional use. He branded his instruments by the end pin and on the back button.
