George Thomas Henry Withers was the younger son of Edward Withers (I). In 1878, he separated from his brother and opened his own shop in St Martin's Lane, moving to 22 Leicester Square in 1891. His sons, Guarnerius and Walter George, succeeded him. He offered Stradivari and Guarneri models in various grades. Bows were branded as G. W. & S. or GEORGE WITHERS & SONS.
