T. E. Purday partnered with Button and later with B. S. Fendt. Purday and Button succeeded Thompson at 75 St Paul's Churchyard, where they sold music scores. The partnership with Fendt began around 1846 at 50 St Paul's Churchyard, taking over the shop of Clementi & Co.
