Frank Vernon Henderson was a violin and bow maker since his professional retirement in 1978. He studied under George Orth and authored How to Make a Violin Bow (Seattle, 1977). He created copies of the c. 1668 Stradivari 'Duke of Cambridge' and the 1741 Guarneri del Gesù 'Varnowich' violins, with the original instruments in his own collection.
