Ivo Pires
(1942 – 2009)
Ivo Pires was active in the USA from 1967. He was employed as a repairer by the Carl Fischer Co. in Boston. He subsequently worked for Boston String Instruments, where he made modern and historical bowed and plucked instruments. After the death of its proprietor Melvin Peabody, he took over the company.
