Fernandino Ferroni
Violin maker
(1868 – 1949)
Fernandino Ferroni was a pupil of De Zorzi. He was an influential maker of the Florentine school in the 20th century, established in Borgo San Frediano. His personal models and copies of individual master instruments were often based on the Stradivari instruments found in the Cherubini Collection in Florence. He is credited with some 110 violins, 12 violas, and six cellos. He exhibited in Cremona in 1937 and also gained awards in Rome in 1924.
