A business continued under the E. J. Albert name into the 1930s, run by J. J. ...Read More Albert. His activity as a maker virtually ceased after 1900 as he became increasingly occupied as a dealer in old instruments. Stradivari model with shaded red varnish. First prize at New Orleans and Chicago 1885. Branded internally: `John Albert American Concert Violin'. Bows imported from Europe and branded: E. J. ALBERT.
