Edward Ferdinand Panormo
Violin maker
(1812 – 1891)
Edward Ferdinand Panormo was the son of Joseph Panormo and was active with his father in London from at least 1832 at 4 Compton Street. In 1839, he established himself as a guitar and violin maker at 37 Frith Street. He frequently moved within London and eventually relocated to Brighton, where he worked as a violin and guitar teacher. He also appears to have worked for Louis in London and led a nomadic life as a maker and player, ultimately dying in impoverished circumstances.
