Dominicus C. Vlummens was a pupil of his father, Isidor Vlummens, an amateur repairer. He worked for various shops in London and established himself independently in 1926. His work featured Stradivari and Guarneri models, showcasing good professional workmanship and shades of golden-brown varnish. He was chiefly occupied with restoration and repair work.
