Eric Johan Lidholm studied under E. A. Thompson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He worked for Frederick Buckley in St Louis, Missouri. Established in St Louis in 1914, he moved briefly to Minneapolis in 1923 but ultimately returned to St Louis. His personal model was influenced by Buckley.
