Joseph François Breton

Joseph François Breton created a large Stradivari model that was somewhat crude in execution and utilized generally second-class materials. The varnish was of the 'Vieux Paris' type, thick and brown in color, and was prone to craquelure. It was branded on the back with 'Breton a Paris. ' A label of the violin was located in the Berlin Museum.
