Léon Bernardel

(1853 – 1931)
Before joining the family firm of Gand et Bernardel, Léon Bernardel I (1853–1931) — son and pupil of Ernest Auguste Bernardel — worked alongside Charles Derazey. His own workshop later took on Marie Louis Piernot in 1906, once Arthur Vigneron père's death had left Piernot free to move; the business itself continued into a further generation through Léon's son, Léon Bernardel II, who directed instrument production for the firm from Mirecourt.
