Nicolas Duchesne
(c. 1742 – 1780)
Nicolas Duchesne branded and signed instruments 'à Paris', although this was a common fiction among Mirecourt makers. His shop was known as 'A la Ville de Padoue'. The model was slender with a flat arch and an oversized scroll. It featured extended `f' holes with a distinctive central nick and had a dull yellow varnish. It was branded: Nicolaus Duchesne A Paris.
