François 'Malakoff' Brugère was the brother of Charles Joseph Brugère. He worked for Pierre Silvestre in Lyons, Daniel in Marseilles, and Bonnel in Rouen. He returned to Mirecourt, where he worked indirectly for Justin Derazey, producing many instruments with his label.
