Ambros Joseph Bogner

(1752 – 1822)

Ambros Joseph Bogner initially established his work in Prague. He moved to Vienna in 1792. He was a rare maker who used a Stradivari arching. His work was well-finished and utilized good materials, although the varnish was dark, chippy, and of poor texture. He also made plucked instruments.
