Roger François Lotte
Bow maker
(1922 – 1989)
Roger François Lotte, son of François Lotte, trained at his father's side. His father's workshop, in turn, trained a notable group of makers — René Bernard, Marcel Lapierre, Marcel Mangenot, and Roger François himself among them. Roger François occasionally had frog roughing-out work done for him by Roger Gérome, adopting somewhat more modern working methods than his father's generation, and he himself did outwork for several other houses, including Hilaire and Apparut in Mirecourt and both R. & M. Millant and B. Millant & E. Vatelot in Paris.
