Francois Eury
Bow maker / Violin maker
(c. 1725 – 1786)
François Eury worked as a luthier and violin dealer (*luthier-marchand de violons*) in Mirecourt in the second half of the eighteenth century. His son, Jacob Eury, born 6 April 1765, began his own training under his father in violin making before quickly redirecting his career toward bow making specifically — one of the formative figures of the emerging Mirecourt bow trade.
