Nicolò Gagliano II
Violin maker
(fl. 1800 – 1825)
Nicolò Gagliano, son of Giovanni Gagliano, was a member of the Neapolitan school of violin makers, noted as the least productive in his family. His work is recognized under the name Nicolas Gagliano / Filius Joannis / Neapoli. While credible biographical information about the violin makers of this school has recently emerged, the birth and death dates of these makers remain as previously accepted until further archival findings are published.
