Rudolf Heckel
(1857 – 1925)
Rudolf Heckel studied under Ernst Gläsel. He worked for Reichers in Berlin before establishing himself independently in Dresden in 1884. He created fine and accurate copies of Stradivari and Guarneri models, using his own rich oil varnish that had a convincing appearance.
