Pierre Flambeau
(fl. 1790 – 1816)
Pierre Flambeau trained in Mirecourt and with Koliker in Paris. His work featured a recognizable imitation of the Stradivarian model and was sturdy, finished with yellow-brown varnish. It was branded below the back button. A manuscript label indicated: Flambeau / élève de M. Koliker / à Paris.
