Jules Remy
(1813 – 1876)
Jules Remy was the son and pupil of Jean Mathurin Remy. He established himself in Passage Brady in 1854 and at 60 Faubourg Saint-Denis from 1872. His work primarily involved plucked instruments and pochettes. Some violins in the Mirecourt style were branded: 'In Urbe Cremoniae Remy. '.
