Franz Angerer
(1851 – 1924)
Franz Angerer was a pupil of Ferdinand and Leopold Feilenreiten. He was a maker of violins and guitars. He established his business in Plaz Henrietta in 1885 and later relocated to Mariahilferstrasse. He received a gold medal at the Chicago Exhibition in 1893. His work was noted for fine craftsmanship with a gold-yellow varnish that had good texture and consistency.
