Francesco Emiliani
Violin maker
(c. 1680 – 1736)
As was the case with most of the Roman makers of his day, Francesco Emiliani took the Stainer model as his principal inspiration. There is also a strong similarity in his work to that of David Tecchler, his better-known contemporary, although no formal link has been established.
