Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Otto

Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Otto was the son and pupil of Jacob August Otto. He also trained with his eldest brother, George August. He worked for Engleder in Munich and Widhalm in Nuremberg. He established himself in Gothenburg and, from 1835, in Stockholm. He briefly worked in Russia and Poland around 1860 but returned to Stockholm. He was appointed luthier to the court there. He made a considerable quantity of cellos and created work in the style of his father.
