Charles Drouin

Charles Drouin was the son and pupil of Etienne Drouin and succeeded Baur-Bourdot. He took over the name and business of 'Chipot-Vuillaume' in 1897. He was a commercial manufacturer of instruments crafted in various classical forms, including Panormo and Maggini. His instruments featured a shaded red-gold alcohol varnish with a thin texture. They were branded internally with 'Drouin' and had a printed label that read: Lutherie Artistique / Charles Drouin, Luthier / Mirecourt, 18.. / No..
