Alberto Luigi Blanchi was the son and pupil of Augustin Bianchi. He won gold medals at Milan in 1906 and London in 1908. His work included 500 violins, 60 cellos, double basses, guitars, and mandolins. The personal models displayed a very high degree of craftsmanship and finish, featuring a good golden-orange varnish.
