It included small corners and delicate scrolls, slightly rustic in finish yet highly attractive. The purflings were slender and well-fitted, and local woods were employed. The varnish was of very good quality and texture, golden-orange and highly reflective, although some examples fell below this standard, with the varnish being quite meagre in shades of brown-yellow.
