Gustav Günther
(1853 – 1929)
Gustav Günther was a pupil of Bausch. He worked in Magdeburg starting in 1879 and established himself in Mainz in 1881, taking over A. Mulch's business at 46 Lauterenstrasse. His work was based on a Stradivari-derived model and was rather undistinguished, being rarely encountered. A cello he made was illustrated in Michels.
