Michael Gozzo
(1892 – c. 1968)
Michael Gozzo was a pupil of his grandfather, who shared the same name. He emigrated to the USA and associated with George Lindsey in Los Angeles starting in 1926. He established himself in Hartford, Connecticut in 1930 and ultimately moved to Glendale in 1942. He made over 100 instruments, using Stradivari, Guarneri, and personal models, and applied a red-brown varnish.
