Jacob Diehl II



(1807 – 1873)

Jacob Diehl was the son of Nicolas Diehl and worked in Mainz, Bremen, and Hamburg. His instruments featured a decent Arnatisé model with a small head, flat edgework, and red-brown varnish. There were also some Maggini copies that included extravagant double purfling. Jacob Diehl was a Geigenmacher in Mainz in 1828.
