Armand Cuisset
Violin maker

Armand Cuisset studied the violin at the Brussels Conservatoire. He subsequently trained as a maker in various Belgian and German workshops. In 1919, he established his own business in Verviers. He later worked in Cannes as the first violin in the Monte Carlo Orchestra from approximately 1926 to 1930 and ultimately settled in Brussels. His instruments were modeled after Stradivari, Guarneri, Pressenda, and Guadagnini, featuring appropriately shaded varnish. They were branded internally: 'A. Cuisset à Verviers. '.
