George Panormo was the third son of Sicilian-born violin maker Vincenzo Panormo and worked with his younger brother Louis in Bloomsbury, London, starting in 1848. He also briefly worked for the Banks brothers in Liverpool, as indicated by a cello dated 1736 that bore his label.
