Leonard Percy Balmforth
(1881 – 1936)
Leonard Percy Balmforth was a maker known for his new work on the Stradivari model and had a small output. He was a specialist restorer and a pupil of Paul Bailly, who worked for Dykes in Leeds during the 1890s. He founded L. P. Balmforth & Son, which became the leading business in the north of England after Dykes relocated to London.
