Johann Michael Albani
(1677 – 1730)
Johann Michael Albani was the son and pupil of Matthias Albani (I). He served as an assistant, son-in-law, and successor to W. Sagmayr. He was better known for cellos, some featuring carved heads, than for violins. His instruments had a slender form and a fine, thickly textured red-brown varnish.
