Pierre Charles Jacquot, son of Charles Jacquot and nephew of J.B. Vuillaume, was a leading French maker of the 19th century. He established the business 'Ch. Jacquot et Fils' with his sons, Etienne and Jules, and became renowned for his fine craftsmanship based on Stradivari and Guarneri models. Jacquot received numerous awards in international competitions, including the Croix de la Legion d'honneur in 1892. His accolades include prizes at Metz in 1861, London in 1862, Lyons in 1870, Paris in 1878, as well as in Algiers, Vienna, and Moscow in 1891, and Chicago in 1892.
