Robert C. Glier trained in Markneukirchen. He emigrated to the USA in 1885, where he found employment with Wurlitzer. Later, he established himself independently in Cincinnati. His workmanship was undistinguished; some instruments were imported part-finished from Mirecourt, while others were made from local materials and spirit varnished.
