Jacques Audinot

Jacques Audinot was the son of Pierre Audinot. He apprenticed at R. & M. Millant in Paris, which closed in 1969. He subsequently worked with G. Houfflack at 15 rue de Saint-Petersbourg. A prolific bow maker, he helped to revitalize the French tradition in the 20th century, belonging to the Peccatte school. His early work featured plain silver mounts, while he later developed a heavier personal style with a rich selection of mounts. He branded his work as J. AUDINOT à PARIS.
