Began work in France. In London from 1890, but returned to Ivrea 1895-1904 where his sons Silvio and Cesare were born. Back in London he worked for the Stainer Manufacturing Co., a commercial business, and then for F. W. Chanot before establishing his own workshop in Castle Street, Long Acre.
