Pascal Camurat
Bow maker / Violin maker

Pascal studies violinmaking in Mittenwald from 1979 until 1983, and makes his first bow the next year while in Paul Siefried's Los Angeles workshop. He then completes several internships with Stéphane Thomachot, while learning instruments restoration alongside his brother Bernard, both employed by Hans Weisshaar.
In 1987, he joins Charles Beare in London, before going back to Paris to work with his father Jacques. When he retires in 1990, Pascal and Bernard join forces as Camurat Frères.
He moves to Montpellier in 2000 and now mainly focuses on bowmaking. He has made over 1000 bows, his cello bows being inspired by Grand Adam, and has won many prizes in Paris and Manchester competitions over the years.
