Alfred Tubbs

Alfred Tubbs was the son and pupil of James Tubbs and was active throughout his life in his father's shop, with most of his work bearing James' brand. He briefly ran the business between his father's retirement around 1888 and his own death in 1909, which led to James' return to work. It is assumed that he was responsible for the Royal Academy and Guildhall prize bows, the production of which ceased in the year of his death. His bows were known for their exceptional quality and reputation in England.
