William Taylor worked in Princes Street, Drury Lane, London. He was possibly a pupil of Vincenzo Panormo. His instruments featured a Stradivari model with a very flat arch. The workmanship was good, but the materials were of poor quality, and he used a thin red-brown spirit varnish. The chamfers of the scroll were blackened in the style of Stradivari.
