Rigart Rubus

Rigart Rubus created characteristic Russian school violins that featured rounded edges without overhang. The soundholes resembled those of Stradivari. The scroll was well cut but had rounded edges and was unpurfled. The varnish was dark golden or red-brown. This work was produced in St. Petersburg in 1850.
