Glaesel & Mössner operated a commercial manufactuary in Markneuldrchen from 1873, managed by Ernst Glaesel, the son of Johann Ludwig Glaesel. Various grades and styles were identifiable by inscribed shields carved into the back of the scroll. Some featured carved heads and were produced in both 'antiqued' and new varnish finishes. Trade bows bore the stamps of various illustrious French makers.
